Redevelopment of the Exhibition at Cardiff Bay

Techniquest’s exhibition enables its audiences to see, touch and discover science for themselves! The exhibits are built by Techniquest’s own team of skilled technical experts who are acknowledged as some of the best of their kind in the world. Techniquest works hard to , refresh the exhibition as often as possible. Over the course of Techniquest’s long history many hundreds of exhibits have been developed, which have engaged and motivated audiences. The goal is to continue to provide contemporary, exciting interactive experiences which allow visitors to explore science and motivate them to find out more. Techniquest plans a large scale renewal of its exhibition to meet the changing needs of its audience and maintain the high standards for which the organisation is known in Wales, and around the world. New exhibits and programmes will be developed to support and enrich the Welsh Assembly Government’s revised National Curriculum for Science, offering pupils fun and interactive ways to engage with science.

Plans include the development of an exhibition for children aged 2 -7 years old. This will provide an environment in which children become involved in learning through enhanced play, facilitated by interactive exhibits and programmes.

The redevelopment also includes establishing a new free outdoor exhibition learning and recreation area known as the The Community Discovery Area
