Discover the fundamentals of DNA, unravel its mysteries and understand its significance.
Through hands-on activities, you will construct a double helix model, investigate the similarities and differences between human DNA and that of animals and fruits, fostering a deeper comprehension of genetic diversity.
Culminating the experience, you will get the thrilling opportunity to extract DNA from a strawberry, witnessing the marvels of science firsthand in an interactive and fun-filled session!
This activity is not suitable for children under 7. All children booked into the workshop must be accompanied by at least 1 paying adult. Children under 7 will not be admitted.
This workshop involves handling strawberries. If you have an allergy to strawberries but still wish to take part, Nitrile gloves (latex and powder free) can be provided on request.
Please note that every workshop ticket must be booked in conjunction with a valid admissions ticket. Availability is limited, so the best way to guarantee your space is to book in advance.
